Spriteloom reads 119,312 Steam games and places each one by what it's about, so games that feel alike sit together. Then it counts how many of them found an audience, to help you pick a game worth making before you spend a year on it.

What “finds an audience” means

A game counts as having made it when it has 1,000 or more Steam reviews. Across the catalog that's 1 in 13 games, flops with no reviews included.

Checking an idea

When you describe a game, we find the 50 closest games in the catalog. The verdict is how many of those 50 made it, compared with the catalog as a whole.

Kinds of game and ingredients come from Steam's player-voted tags. These are correlations, not causes.
